A Study Day for Early Years Practitioners and parents who are interested in skilling up to support their child’s communication development.

Explore how play development and language link together.

How can we evaluate a child’s development in the Early Years? How can we facilitate language development through play?

This Interactive Study Day introduces accessible theory and how it can be used to structure language development in the early years. The ideas are equally applicable in home or educational settings.

This Workshop developed out of conversations with practitioners where it became clear that the theoretical underpinnings of language and play are not always covered in training and are of considerable interest to colleagues.

This Workshop brings together the foundation skills, play stages and language levels. For some this will be a refresher course and for others this will opportunity to explore theory and practical applications in supporting children with possible or diagnosed speech and language difficulties.

Who is it for?

The Study Day is of interest to SENCOs, Early Years Practitioners/Teachers, Early Years teachers.
